Plot Summary:"In this picture you see Santa Claus enter the room from the fireplace and proceed to trim the tree. He then fills the stockings that were previously hung on the mantle by the children. After walking backward and surveying his work, he suddenly darts at the fireplace and disappears up the chimney. This film surprises everyone, and leaves them to wonder how old Kris disappears."
圣诞之夜，某户人家的一双儿女（Dorothy Smith 桃乐丝•史密斯 & Harold Smith 霍华德•史密斯 饰）玩兴正酣，保姆（Laura Bayley 劳拉•贝利 饰）走进房间，催促两个孩子上床睡觉。这时，圣诞老人出现在屋顶，他从烟囱钻进去，来到孩子的房间，蹑手蹑脚，将礼物放到床头的袜子里面，随后离开。两个孩子醒来，看到礼物格外高兴。 本片导演，英国人乔治•艾尔伯特•史密斯（George Albert Smith）是早期电影先驱，虽然他和同期的乔治•梅里爱（Georges Méliès 饰）相比名气不是很大，但他为电影技术和特技的革新亦做出重要的贡献。他也是影史上第一部自然色彩（natural color film）彩色影片的导演，拍摄于1906年。
